About Obinka
The heart of craft
Obinka is a technology company with two connected aims: to build products using recursive self improvement methods, and to research the methods themselves.
The name
Our founder gives the name Obinka the meaning "the heart of craft". For us, that is a way to express care for how useful things are made, and a willingness to improve the making itself.
We present the meaning as the founder's account. We do not add a literal translation, a pronunciation or a traditional motif, and we do not claim cultural authority for it.
Two sites, one company
This site is the home for our research direction. Our products, all currently in development, are introduced at obinka.com.
Both sites share one identity. Each site names the destination of its cross-domain link.
What we are not claiming
We have not published research results. The questions on this site describe a direction we want to explore, not a record of work completed. Our product portfolio is in development.
